Graeme Souness the former footballer, manager, broadcaster and current pundit is now the Patron of the Bournemouth Heart Club, an independent charity situated in the grounds of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, where he had treatment over the last year.

" As a footballer I know how important it is to return to fitness as quickly and efficiently as possible" - he went on "the Heart Club is the prime environment for anyone recovering from a heart attack - my insight into the Club with its' remarkable results have convinced me that this is a major way to reduce the risk of future cardiac problems."

Adrian Rozkovec - Consultant Cardiologist, and President of the Bournemouth Heart Club said how delighted he was by Graeme's commitment to the Club - "he will add strength and confidence to those in need of Health Checks for prevention as well as the many who wish to continue their recover from heart surgery or heart attacks in a friendly and successful environment."

Founded 25 years ago by Adrian Rozkovec the Bournemouth Heart Club has developed in many ways from a small number of members having basic rehabilitation to a multi operations club with almost 1500 members providing cardio-aerobic exercise classes six days a week in two purpose built gyms.  The regular healthy exercise classes are held in a safe environment.
